{"id":25413,"date":"2025-11-24T15:51:01","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T15:51:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agaca.coop\/?p=25413"},"modified":"2025-11-24T15:51:01","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T15:51:01","slug":"a-dieta-e-as-emisions-de-co2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agaca.coop\/gl\/a-dieta-e-as-emisions-de-co2\/","title":{"rendered":"A dieta e as emisi\u00f3ns de CO2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Estamos fartos de escoitar que para reducir as emisi\u00f3ns de Gases de Efecto Invernadoiro (GEI) hai quereducir a gander\u00eda, e o xeito de reducir a gander\u00eda \u00e9 consumir menos prote\u00ednas animais. A simplifica ci\u00f3n do discurso non deber\u00eda evadir unha an\u00e1lise en profundidade do cambio da dieta na emisi\u00f3n dos GEI. Recentemente apareceu un estudo de Joint Research Centre (JRC), publicado en Agricultural Systems, que manifesta que dietas con m\u00e1is vexetais poden non dar lugar a menos emisi\u00f3ns netas de GEI, xa que afectan ao almacenamento do carbono org\u00e1nico no solo e aumentan as emisi\u00f3ns netas.<\/p>\n<p>Incrementar o consumo de verduras, froitos, grans enteiros, legumes e froitos secos; xunto cun menor consumo de carne de aves e pescado e unha forte reduci\u00f3n da carne roxa dos alimentos procesados (a dieta EAT-Lancet) non ten por que reducir os GEI.<\/p>\n<p>O estudo demostrou que reducir o n\u00famero de vacas pod\u00eda incrementar os GEI: menos gando, m\u00e1is emisi\u00f3ns. Unha dieta con m\u00e1is vexetais conducir\u00eda a un pa\u00eds como Dinamarca a perdas significativas de carbono e a un aumento nas emisi\u00f3ns, por unha menor disposici\u00f3n de esterco animal como fertilizan te natural, o que reduce a produci\u00f3n de material org\u00e1nico que doutro xeito se almacena parcial mente no solo. Pasar dos pasteiros a terra cultivable tam\u00e9n incrementa as emisi\u00f3ns. Por iso, nos estudos feitos sobre a presenza de CO2 nos solos en Espa\u00f1a, compr\u00f3base que Galicia multiplica por cinco de media, o carbono presente en terras oliveiras do sur, por exemplo.<\/p>\n<p>Por tanto, non deben medirse so as emisi\u00f3ns de CO2 equivalente das vacas, sen\u00f3n que tam\u00e9n se deben contabilizar as emisi\u00f3ns de CO2 do solo, xa que compensan os beneficios da adopci\u00f3n dunha dieta vexetal. Debe co\u00f1ecerse que os efectos secunda rios dunha reduci\u00f3n de animais \u00e9 unha estratexia limitada para reducir as emisi\u00f3ns globais alterando o panorama xeral. A reduci\u00f3n do consumo de produtos a base de animais ten efectos negativos non desexados no solo que poden dar lugar a un incremento das emisi\u00f3ns dos GEI dos mesmos.<\/p>\n<p>As pol\u00edticas que alg\u00fans promoven para reducir o consumo de produtos animais deber\u00edan considerar o aumento potencial da demanda de produtos vexetais noutros pa\u00edses para satisfacer a demanda mundial. Isto implica que a diminuci\u00f3n da produci\u00f3n gandeira nun pa\u00eds poder\u00eda compensarse con incrementos das emisi\u00f3ns doutros, o que dar\u00eda lugar a maiores emisi\u00f3ns netas de GEI en todo o mundo.<\/p>\n<p>Debemos facer fincap\u00e9 en que os estudos futuros deben abarcar todas as emisi\u00f3ns de GEI do sistema alimentario cun enfoque m\u00e1is integrado, tendo en conta as interacci\u00f3ns entre a dieta, o uso da terra, os fertilizantes e as pr\u00e1cticas agr\u00edcolas.<\/p>\n<p>As estratexias espec\u00edficas como a mellora da xesti\u00f3n de fertilizantes e o secuestro de carbono poder\u00edan axudar a mitigar os efectos negativos das emisi\u00f3ns do solo.<\/p>\n<p>Por iso, a gander\u00eda pode desempe\u00f1ar un papel clave nestas pr\u00e1cticas, como a incorporaci\u00f3n de esterco animal, agrosilvicultura e pastoreo rotativo, contribu\u00edndo positivamente \u00e1 loita contra o cambio clim\u00e1tico.
